By Aaron Humes: Police have formally arrested and charged 53-year-old Ralph Sherlock Martinez Sr. of Belize City for the crime of murder in relation to the murder of Mark Longsworth, which occurred on Monday, May 11.
According to Staff Officer ASP Stacy Smith, “Officers who were on patrol on Ebony Street around 12:30 am on May 11 reported that they observed an injured Longsworth on the corner of Ebony and Mopan Street. Longsworth was ferried to the hospital for medical attention; however, he succumbed to the injuries that he sustained.”
Police continue to investigate, seeking to establish the motive for this incident.
