By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies and warm conditions today, and clear to partly cloudy tonight. Little or no rainfall is expected. A light east-to-southeasterly airflow supports fair and warm weather over the area.
High temperatures today are forecasted at 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 98 degrees in inland areas and 84 degrees in the hills, with lows tonight around 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 degrees in inland areas, and 65 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect, as inland temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible, especially during the afternoon hours.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots, resulting in lightly choppy seas.
Tides are high as of 6:50 this morning. The low tide follows at 1:45 this afternoon and a high tide at 7:57 this evening. The sun rose at 5:20 this morning and will set at 6:16 this evening.
For Thursday, expect similar weather conditions.
