Blue Pappi Drops ‘Ama Getdown’ As ‘Road To Ehlane’ EP Nears Release. Blue Pappi has officially ushered in a new chapter of his career with the release of his latest single, Ama Getdown, while counting down to the arrival of his upcoming Road to Ehlane EP.
The 23-year-old Ladysmith-born artist and member of The Qwellers collective shared the exciting update with fans on Instagram, revealing that Ama Getdown would arrive on Wednesday, July 22, followed by the Road to Ehlane EP on Friday, July 24.
“AMA GETDOWN Wednesday 22/07/26. ROAD TO EHLANE-EP Friday 24/07/26. While I wrap up this mixtape,” he wrote.
Released as the first taste of the forthcoming project, Ama Getdown delivers the energetic sound Blue Pappi has become known for. The track pairs his melodic rap style with vibrant production, creating a high-energy anthem built for dance floors and playlists alike.
The release comes as the rising star continues to build on the momentum generated by his acclaimed 2025 debut album, Emadlelweni Aluhlaza. The 21-track project showcased his versatility through deeply personal storytelling, blending introspective lyricism with melodic rap and R&B influences. Since then, Blue Pappi has further cemented his place among South Africa’s most exciting young artists through collaborations with the likes of Sjava, Blxckie, Ma-E and Young Stunna.
