*Chris Brown is building anticipation for his upcoming album “Brown” by unveiling the artists who will appear across the project.
The singer shared the announcement through an AI-generated video designed around a vintage nightclub atmosphere, giving fans an early look at the collaborations tied to his next release, SandraRose.com reports. The black-and-white clip opens with a glowing sign that reads, “House of Brown, A Night of Soul R&B and Timeless Classics.” An emcee then introduces the featured performers before closing with the line, “So sit back, relax and enjoy the show.” Watch the Instagram clip below.
Among the artists attached to the album are Leon Thomas, Tank, Vybez Kartel, Bryson Tiller, NBA YoungBoy, GloRilla, Fridayy, Sexyy Red and Lucky Daye. “Brown,” which serves as Brown’s twelfth studio album, is set for release on May 8.
Attention surrounding the project has extended beyond the music itself after the album artwork began circulating online. The cover shows Brown dressed in a tan suit while posing on a carpeted floor, prompting comparisons from some viewers to visuals associated with several well-known R&B and pop releases. Many fans connected the image to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” Lionel Richie’s “You Are,” Luther Vandross’ “Give Me the Reason,” and Teddy Pendergrass’ “It’s Time for Love.”

Online reaction to the cover has varied widely. Some social media users argued Brown appeared to be drawing too heavily from the imagery of established music legends, particularly Jackson. One user posted, “He wants to be Michael Jackson so bad,” while another wrote, “He’s the most boring person to ever enter art. Nothing is subversive. Nothing hits the mark. It’s just a bunch of the Shade Room demographic that accept the lowest vibrational art ever.”
Following the album’s release, Brown will quickly shift focus toward touring. He and Usher are scheduled to headline “The R&B Tour: Raymond & Brown,” a 33-date stadium run produced by Live Nation that launches June 26 in Denver and concludes Dec. 11 in Tampa.
