This cross stitch comic was created during a period when I was struggling to write, read or speak fluently.
I am still struggling a little to write, so bear with me if this is a bit stilted!
Whilst I couldn’t write at all, I created this metre long comic without words, entirely in cross stitch, on a piece of aida fabric intended for making bookmarks. I have since created two further metres, though I have only included the first metre here.
The comic is supposed to be open to interpretation, a little like tarot cards, though it has a very specific meaning to me.
However each metre of comic strip comes with clues to possible meanings,in the form of a series of words. The words for this comic are: portal, looking, not-reading, medicine, not-speaking, jellyfish.
