For more than two decades, wellness advocate and holistic healer Empress Isis Daniel has helped people reconnect with nature using herbs, plant-based foods and mindful living. With her new book, The Ancient Mineral Kingdom, Daniel continues this mission by focusing on what she calls one of the most overlooked foundations of human health: minerals.

Based on years of research, observation and guiding others on holistic wellness journeys, Daniel says she was inspired to write the book after noticing a common pattern among people facing illness and imbalance.

“Many of the diseases and health concerns that people often experience are directly connected to mineral deficiencies, poor absorption or a lack of awareness surrounding mineral nutrition,” she explained.

Daniel believes that today’s eating habits often focus on simply satisfying hunger rather than truly nourishing the body at the cellular level.

“A lot of the time, people eat simply to satisfy hunger or sometimes to feel full, but they are not always mindful of whether the foods they are consuming are truly nourishing their cells and supplying the body with the essential minerals required for the intracellular structure to function properly,” she said.

She says this realisation is what ultimately inspired her to write The Ancient Mineral Kingdom.

The book looks at naturally occurring minerals and how they help the body stay strong, heal and stay balanced. It guides readers in understanding mineral deficiencies, whole-food nutrition and herbal sources of key nutrients.

“The earth holds the minerals that support the body’s natural strength, repair and balance,” Daniel shared while reflecting on the book’s message. “These essential earth-derived nutrients play a central role in human nourishment and physical vitality.”

Daniel describes the book as a practical, easy-to-read guide meant to help people reconnect with nature’s original ways of nourishing the body, rather than as a clinical or scientific text.

“The goal here is not perfection,” she said. “The goal is reconnection, to reconnect the body with soil and to reconnect nourishment with its natural source.”

In the introduction, Daniel takes a philosophical and ancestral view of health, reminding readers that minerals are not just a modern wellness trend but are ancient building blocks of life.

“Long before nutrition was measured in numbers and percentages, the body understood the language of the earth,” she writes. “Minerals were never trends. They were never isolated substances separated from food. They were and still are the foundational elements that form structure, movement, rhythm and balance in the human body.”

She also highlights the special connection between soil, plants and the human body.

“Every mineral begins in the soil. Through the soil, it enters the plant; through the plant, it enters the body. This relationship is not modern; it is ancient,” Daniel explained.

For Daniel, The Ancient Mineral Kingdom is more than a health guide. She sees it as an invitation for readers to slow down, pay attention to what they eat, and rediscover wellness through nature.

As conversations surrounding holistic health and plant-based healing continue to grow globally, Daniel hopes her work will encourage readers to become more intentional about their relationship with food and the earth.

“To remember that true strength is built from the ground up,” she said.

Blending wellness education, natural healing philosophy, and grounded spirituality, The Ancient Mineral Kingdom serves as both a guide and a reflection on humanity’s forgotten relationship with the earth, one mineral at a time.
