SURREY Police Service (SPS) is investigating a shots fired incident in the 12300-block of 77A Avenue.
On Monday, March 30 at approximately 1:45 a.m., SPS frontline officers attended a Newton residence where shots fired were reported. On scene, police observed damage to a home and an unoccupied vehicle that was parked out front. Fortunately, none of the occupants of the home were injured.
The investigation into this incident is continuing with Major Crime Section (MCS), Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS), and Project Assurance officers now involved.
It is believed that this incident is connected to extortion.
