By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A busy Saturday morning in Belize City was interrupted by gun violence when a man was shot while inside a vehicle parked on Albert Street.
The shooting occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. near the Belize Bank Business Centre, one of the city’s busiest commercial areas.
According to early reports, the victim appeared to have been specifically targeted while seated inside his car. The attack unfolded in full view of members of the public, many of whom were conducting business in the downtown area at the time.
Police officers responded quickly to the scene and transported the injured man to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.
Investigators are working to determine the motive behind the shooting and whether it was connected to any ongoing disputes or criminal activity.
