For decades, Gwen DeVoe has made it her mission to create opportunities in spaces where representation was often limited. She helped change the conversation surrounding plus-size fashion, developed aspiring talent, produced groundbreaking fashion events and built platforms that gave models and designers greater visibility.
Now, DeVoe is beginning another chapter, and this time she is putting the spotlight on a generation she believes still has much more to offer.
The fashion industry veteran has officially launched the Silver Fox Talent Collective, a new community created for women and men 50 and older who are ready to explore opportunities in modeling, acting, content creation and personal reinvention.
The idea reflects a philosophy that has guided DeVoe throughout her career: possibility does not have an expiration date.
“The Silver Fox Talent Collective began with a vision: to create more opportunities, representation, education, and community for adults 50+,” DeVoe says. “Today, the Silver Fox Talent Collective celebrates women and men who are ready to explore new possibilities, embrace their creativity, strengthen their confidence, and step boldly into what comes next.”
A Career Built on Creating Opportunities
Long before conversations about size inclusivity became commonplace throughout fashion, DeVoe was working to make sure plus-size models, designers, brands and consumers had a seat at the table.
A former freelance plus-size model herself, she transformed her experience in front of the camera into a career behind the scenes as a fashion event producer, mentor and entrepreneur.
In 1998, through her boutique fashion production company DeVoe Signature Events, she established The Plus Academy, a development and resource program created to teach aspiring plus-size models about the industry and provide them with tools to pursue professional opportunities.
What began in New York City eventually expanded to 10 major U.S. cities.
DeVoe would go on to create one of the most recognizable platforms in plus-size fashion: Full Figured Fashion Week®.
As its creator and executive producer, she developed an annual showcase bringing together plus-size models, designers, retailers, boutiques and businesses serving the plus community. Full Figured Fashion Week® became an important gathering within the industry and attracted national and international media attention, with coverage ranging from The New York Times and The New Yorker to Forbes.com.
Her contributions eventually received recognition from her hometown. The City of New York issued a proclamation declaring June 22 “Gwen DeVoe Appreciation Day,”honoring her pioneering contributions to plus-size fashion and event production.
But DeVoe’s story did not end with creating opportunities for other models.
She stepped back in front of the camera herself.
Becoming a Silver Fox
Today, DeVoe is enjoying another evolution in her career as an established print and commercial Silver Fox model.

Her recent work includes campaigns connected with Dunkin’ Donuts, Masthead®, Style & Co. and other brands, including appearing in campaign work alongside NBA NY Knicks 2026 Champion Jalen Brunson.
And in September 2026, DeVoe returned to the runway during New York Fashion Week, walking in Malcolm Staples’ NYFW Tailored Elegance show.
Her return to modeling carries a message that reaches beyond fashion.
At a stage in life when many people are encouraged to slow down, DeVoe is demonstrating that experience can become an advantage rather than a limitation. The woman who spent decades creating spaces for others is once again modeling, walking runways and pursuing new opportunities herself. That experience helped inspire what comes next.
Welcome to the Silver Fox Talent Collective
With the launch of the Silver Fox Talent Collective, DeVoe is taking the lessons learned from decades of modeling, mentorship, entrepreneurship and talent development and directing them toward adults 50 and older.
The Collective is intended to be more than a modeling program. It is being developed as a community where mature adults can develop their talents, strengthen their confidence, share their stories, build new skills and connect with others navigating their own next chapters.
Some may want to model for the first time. Others may have always dreamed of acting. Some may want to become content creators, return to an industry they left years ago or simply discover something completely new.
The common denominator is a willingness to explore what’s next.
For DeVoe, that makes the Silver Fox Talent Collective a natural continuation of the work she started decades ago. The audience may be different, but the mission remains rooted in representation, education, opportunity and community.
After spending much of her career challenging traditional perceptions of what a fashion model should look like, DeVoe is now helping challenge another assumption: that ambition, creativity and reinvention belong primarily to the young.
Her own career provides a powerful example.
She has gone from plus-size model to entrepreneur, educator and producer; from creating The Plus Academy to establishing Full Figured Fashion Week®; from mentoring other talent to reclaiming her own place in front of the camera and on the runway.
Now, the Silver Fox Talent Collective opens the door for others to write their own next chapter.
Model. Act. Create. Reinvent.
For Gwen DeVoe, those aren’t simply four words. They represent an invitation to a generation of women and men who still have stories to tell, talents to discover and opportunities to pursue.
The Silver Fox Talent Collective is open to adults 50+ interested in becoming part of the growing community.
