CAPS United and Dynamos shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw during an entertaining Harare derby played at Rufaro Stadium Saturday.
The two giants went into the break goalless before Dynamos scored first in the 58th minute through substitute Wisdom Mtasa.
CAPS United responded strongly and found the equaliser four minutes later through Obriel Chirinda; hence points were shared as the match ended 1-1.
Saturday’s game, however, was not without controversy, with referee Thabani Ruzario coming under scrutiny for a number of questionable decisions.
Some of the referee’s calls disrupted the flow of the derby and appeared to leave both teams frustrated at different stages of the contest.
The dropped points mean neither side managed to break into the top four with six games left in the ongoing campaign.
Dynamos remain fifth on 47 points, while CAPS United sit sixth with 44 points, leaving both clubs with work to do in their remaining league matches if they are to finish among the leading sides.
