HEAT Latin Music Awards Reveals 2026 Ceremony Date & Location
The gala will coincide with the HEAT Week.

The HEAT Latin Music Awards (popularly known as Premios Heat) has unveiled the date and location for its 2026 edition, which Billboard can exclusively announce Thursday (Aug. 13).

For the first time, the awards show will take place in Mexico on Nov. 5 at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center in the resort town of Puerto Vallarta, located in Jalisco. Named HEAT Latin Music Awards al Estilo Jalisco, the 2026 Mexican edition is in collaboration with the government of Jalisco and the municipality of Puerto Vallarta.
“Jalisco is not simply providing us with a venue, it is giving us a home and a place to come together once again around music,” Diana Montes, general director of the HEAT Latin Music Awards, said in a statement. “We arrive with 10 years of Latin American history, and here we have found the hands that know how to bring it to life.”
“The presence of international events like this one further solidifies Jalisco as Mexico’s entertainment capital,” added Lorena Martínez, general director of the Jalisco State Entertainment Agency.
The 2026 gala will coincide with the HEAT Week running from Oct. 31 to Nov. 5. That’s also during the time of Day of the Dead, one of the country’s oldest traditions and beloved holiday celebrated on Nov. 1 and 2.
In addition to revealing its date and location, the event unveiled this year’s cohosts, including Karime Pindter, Caroline Aquino, La Segura, Ignacio Baladán, Yohana Vargas and Dímelo King, as well as its signature Heat globe trophy being recreated by local Mexican artisans.
Founded more than 10 years ago by Montes, a Colombian music executive and Billboard Latin Power Player, Premios Heat was previously celebrated on the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and last year it was hosted in Medellín, Colombia. The awards show recognizes renowned and up-and-coming artists who are making a buzz in the Caribbean and Latin American regions.
