*Atlanta megachurch leader Pastor Jamal Bryant has had enough. The comedian formerly known as the funniest little guy in Hollywood was the roastee of “The Roast of Kevin Hart” on Netflix.
It featured a Tony Hinchcliffe joke about George Floyd. You know the one. It was the joke that made Terrence Floyd issue a statement. Now Pastor Bryant is piling on.
In a Threads post that spread faster than bad church gossip, Bryant wrote: “The Kevin Hart roast wasn’t comedy, it was disrespect dressed as jokes. In this climate, for it to go unchecked is to give consent.”
He is right. But also, it is a roast. The entire genre is built on disrespect dressed as jokes. That is like going to a strip club and complaining about the lack of business casual attire. Still, Hinchcliffe’s joke was undeniably ugly. And Kevin Hart, as the host, sat there and let it happen. That is the real sin here, as far as some are concerned, that silence is violence, or at least it is bad producing.
The Chris Brown Trespasser Who Refused to Quit
Meanwhile, in Tarzana, Chris Brown is dealing with a fan who has commitment issues. The bad kind.
On Wednesday night (May 13), a man jumped the fence at Breezy’s home. He allegedly tried to start a fire. The LAPD arrested him. End of story, right? Wrong.
On Thursday morning (May 14), the same man returned. Yep, same suspect. Same fence. And the same property. He was arrested again for trespassing. That is not dedication. That is a mental health crisis.
This is the latest in a long line of security incidents at Brown’s residence. At this point, Chris Brown should just install a revolving door at the gate. It would save the police some gas money.
Chris Rock Still Has 2Pac Beef (Decades Later)
Finally, some wholesome content. Chris Rock appeared on the “Fly on the Wall” podcast with Dana Carvey and David Spade. He told a wild story about almost fighting 2Pac backstage at an MTV Awards after-party.
Apparently, 2Pac did not like Rock because they dated some of the same women. Pac usually “won,” which is a very 90s hip-hop way to say, “he was more famous.” Pac also confronted Rock about his “Ni***s vs. Black People” routine. BTW, Suge Knight was there, looming like a villain in a low-budget movie.
Nothing physical happened. But Rock admitted he left Tupac completely off his personal Top 5 rappers list because of the beef. Petty? Absolutely. Relatable? Also, absolutely.
The Kevin Hart roast backlash continues. Chris Brown needs a restraining order that sticks. And Chris Rock is still holding a grudge from the Clinton administration. Welcome to May 2026. Do not say we did not warn you.
