A JEALOUS man from Uzumba in Mashonaland East province fatally assaulted his wife for allegedly having an extra marital affair.
Police have since launched a manhunt for 33-year-old Allen Mupesa, who is went into hiding following the gruesome attack on his wife.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
“The ZRP is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Allen Mupesa (33), who is being sought in connection with a case of murder which occurred at Moyosvi village, Uzumba on March 31, 2026 in which his wife, Mary Chimhepo (47), died,” said Nyathi.
“The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim indiscriminately all over the body after accusing her of having an extra marital affair. The victim sustained a deformed head and she succumbed to the injuries sustained from the assault.
“Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station.”
