By Aaron Humes: An unidentified Belize City man was the victim of a fatal stabbing early this morning, Monday.
According to police, the unidentified person was ferried to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital between 12:30 and 12:50 a.m. and was pronounced dead around 1:00 a.m.
Initial investigation revealed that sometime around 12:30 am, the said unidentified male person was seen running and moaning along Mopan Street, where he collapsed at the corner of Mopan and Ebony Streets. He was assisted by a passing Police mobile and ferried to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
The body of John Doe now lies at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Morgue, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
One person has been detained as police investigation continues.
