‘Looks unreal’: Fans react to DJ Zinhle’s taxi vlog! [video]
Entrepreneur, DJ Zinhle’s taxi vlog to Fourways Mall left fans unconvinced, with one stating it "looks unreal."
The all-round media darling DJ Zinhle recently posted a TikTok video of her getting around in a taxi. However, scores of online users criticised her stunt, deeming it rather unconvincing.
DJ ZINHLE TAKES A TAXI TO FOURWAYS MALL
In a post shared by @BlackMntungwa on X, the renowned DJ and YouTuber hopped into a taxi with two ladies heading to Fourways Mall.
Zinhle then paid what many thought was R20.00 for three people. This move raised eyebrows among fans, stating that it was impossible to pay that little for three people, especially in Cyril’s economy!
However, she clarified that she actually paid R40.00 and that the fare was R11.00 per person.
Others believed that this was purely for content reasons, as the taxi seemed half empty carrying only four passengers.
After getting everything she needed at Fourways Mall, Zinhle then prepares to head back home.
“So, I’m back at Fourways Mall. I got everything that I need, but I’m definitely taking an Uber home because there’s no route going to my house. I would have taken it [taxi]. It is so fun and easy. What’s the big fuss?”

ANOTHER POPULAR FACE IN A TAXI
In June 2026, PR and marketing guru Linda Moeketsi vlogged his first taxi adventure captioning it “Let’s experience my first time in a taxi.”
He took up a challenge from his friend DJ Nel, who accompanied him on this exciting ride.
Before getting into their first taxi, DJ Nel advised Linda not to speak a word of English at the rank but isiZulu instead.
In the taxi, Linda seems confused when a passenger behind him taps him on the shoulder to pass the money to the driver. DJ Nel then tells him that he is supposed to pass it forward.
The coaching from DJ Nel doesn’t end as he instructs Linda to speak audibly when announcing his drop-off point.
On the count of one, two, three, Linda says “Ngicela uk’wehla eTonko” [May I please get off at Tonko], earning a thumbs up from the DJ.
Lasizwe commented: You are sooooo uncomfortable. OMG I need to have you in one of my taxis.
Lee_Sanele added: Definitely the English had to be cut no doubt. Linda’s accent is too expensive to be heard in the taxi.
Kele_Megano wrote: Everyone in the taxi is just wondering wtf is happening here.
Speaking of his first taxi experience, Linda said:
“That was a great experience. Not too bad at all. It’s very exhausting. Challenge accepted. Challenged competed.”
