By Zoila Palma: Today Belmopan Area Representative Oscar Mira issued a statement saying that his record continues to speak for itself.
“The people of Belmopan, who have supported me resoundingly in consecutive elections in Belmopan, have done so based on results, not talk. They have seen the transformation of our city, with new infrastructure, access to better health and education, land and houses. My record speaks for itself, and I have every confidence it will stand against the lies and misinformation being circulated,” Mira said.
Mira further added that the person attacking him, John Saldivar is a “failed politician.”
“He has been designated significantly corrupt, and his attempt to drag me down into the ‘tranches’ with him will fail,” he added.
Mira reassured Belmopan residents that he will continue to work and serve “with pride and integrity both as Area Representative and as Minister of Home Affairs and Enterprise.”
