Morocco Signs AI Partnership With Orange Morocco to Advance Digital Transformation

Morocco has taken another step in advancing its national artificial intelligence ambitions following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry Delegate for Digital Transition and Administration Reform  and Orange Morocco.

The agreement was signed on June 4, 2026, in Casablanca by Amal El Fallah-Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administration Reform, on the sidelines of the second edition of the GenZ AI Summit organised by Orange Digital Center Morocco. The partnership forms part of the implementation of the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy and the “AI Made in Morocco” roadmap through the national JAZARI Institutes programme.

During the event, the Minister highlighted Morocco’s ambition to position artificial intelligence as a driver of sovereignty, competitiveness, and human development. She emphasized the importance of building a strong national ecosystem capable of developing local talent, digital infrastructure, and homegrown technological solutions.

The Minister also underscored the role of Moroccan youth in shaping a national AI model centred on innovation, inclusion, and trust, noting that young people remain central to the country’s long-term digital transformation strategy.

The agreement, signed under the JAZARI ROOT framework, is expected to strengthen collaboration around the experimentation and development of artificial intelligence use cases, particularly in the field of e-government and public administration modernisation.

The partnership aims to bring together expertise from the public sector, private companies, academic institutions, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem to accelerate the development of innovative AI solutions that can improve public services, support local communities, and enhance government efficiency.

The initiative forms part of Morocco’s broader efforts to establish a sustainable and competitive artificial intelligence ecosystem while strengthening the country’s digital transformation agenda under the Digital Morocco 2030 strategy.
