The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is investigating a fatal collision along the Julian R. Hunte Highway that claimed the life of a 65-year-old man from Bonne Terre, Gros Islet.
They said Michael Joseph, popularly known as Mikey Freddy, died on Saturday, October 10, a day after his motorcycle collided with a car on the highway.
After the accident, which occurred about 6:10 p.m. on Friday, October 9, Joseph was taken to the Owen King European Union Hospital for medical attention. However, he was pronounced dead the following day.
On the heels of the accident, the RSLPF appealed to motorists to exercise caution on the roads and comply with the laws governing vehicle operations and road use.
