JT Lady Jaguars edged Miracle Eaglets 66-60 in the National Basketball League encounter at ABJA Park, Nalya.
In a game played on Sunday, the Lady Jaguars were victorious after seeing off a highly motivated Miracle Eaglets side.
Miracle Eaglets came out of their blocks early, starting strong with a five-point lead (24-19) at the end of the opening period.
In the second quarter, Miracle Eaglets tried to keep their hoops safe as their lead reduced to three points (35-32) going into the long break.
However, the wheels fell off in the second half as they dropped only six points as the Lady Jaguars took an 11-point lead to the final period.
The Eaglets launched a late charge in the fourth quarter but the Lady Jaguars held on to take home a six-point victory.
Maimuna Nabbosa (15 points), Annet Among (12 points), Shakirah Nanvubya (11 points) and Priscillar Nambogo (10 points) led the Lady Jaguars’ scoring chart in double digits.
On the other hand, Winfred Akello (15 points), Caroline Nakato (14 points) and Prosper Anyine (10 points) scored double digits for the Eaglets.
