O’ No! Southern Eatery O’Charley’s Set To Close Nationwide
After 55 years of service, O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar will reportedly close all restaurants throughout he country.

Fans of Southern eatery O’Charley’s are in for quite an unsavory surprise following multiple reports that the Nashville-born restaurant is scheduled to shut down across the nation.
Locations in Virginia have already confirmed that operations will cease by as early as 8PM on Wednesday, September 9.

According to WBNS, reports of O’Charley’s closings have come from employees in both Ohio and its native roots in Tennessee. One employee working at a location in Niles, Ohio told Nation’s Restaurant News that they were pushing to stay open “as long as possible” yet were more than likely scheduled for permanent closure sometime between September 27 and October 4. There’s also the fact that O’Charley’s deactivated its official Instagram, and hasn’t responded to outreach from media for a comment.

“‘There was some sort of board meeting and this decision was not supposed to get leaked and I don’t even think we were supposed to find out until we showed up for work on Thursday,’ the employee said.
The employee added, ‘We weren’t even going to get an opportunity to say goodbye to some of our regular customers that I’ve formed close relationships with over the years.’
This employee also claims that all O’Charley’s locations in the United States will be closing this week.”
Although we don’t have the official word on whether or not every O’Charley’s is closing, we think there might be some truth to the rumors and wouldn’t be surprised to see an announcement in the near future. If so, the move will bring an end to one location in Florida, three in Georgia, one in Illinois, two in Indiana, eight in Kentucky, two in Mississippi, one in North Carolina, eight in Ohio, one in South Carolina, two in Virginia, one in West Virginia and 14 in its home state of Tennessee. The eatery originated 55 years ago from Nashville in 1971.
