Oasis’ Reunion Documentary ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ to Premiere at a Major Film Festival

Oasis’ upcoming documentary film Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger will receive its world premiere at the upcoming 83rd Venice International Film Festival

While the premiere’s exact date is yet to be confirmed, the film festival will run from Sept. 2 to 12. The festival’s president, Alberto Barbera, also teased that both Noel and Liam Gallagher will be in attendance. “The Gallagher brothers have promised they will be in Venice,” he said at a press conference on Thursday (July 23).
Don’t Look Back in Anger follows the band’s 2025 reunion tour and include footage from the run of live shows and behind-the-scenes moments. The film features Noel and Liam giving their first joint interviews in more than 20 years, and reflecting on their breakup and triumphant comeback.
The documentary will open in select IMAX and U.K. cinemas on Sept. 9, and in cinemas internationally from Sept. 11. It will then be released exclusively on streaming services Disney+ and Hulu later this year.
The film is directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern (Shut Up and Play the Hits, Meet Me in the Bathroom) and produced by Academy Award-nominated director, writer and producer Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows).
The Live 25 tour kicked off in Cardiff, Wales, in July 2025 and saw the group perform a run of shows in the U.K., Ireland, North America, Latin America and Asia.
On Wednesday (July 22), it was announced that the band’s 1995 album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? had overtaken The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band as the U.K.’s bestselling studio album of all time. The news came as the Official Charts Company updated its all-time leaderboard as part of the charts’ 70th anniversary celebrations.
