We have come to the end of Our Right to Thrive, which has been an opportunity for disabled people to contribute creative expression of our experiences of ableism, attitudinal barriers and discrimination, funded by the Community Fund.
As part of the project culmination, lead artist Ivan Riches has worked with disabled poets Kuli Kohli, Richard Downes, Reanna Valentine, Wendy Young, and Dolly Sen to create 12 new multimedia artworks. These were produced collaboratively by disabled artist, musician and poet Ivan Riches and filmmaker Simon Purins.
We commissioned our poets to produce work inspired by four webinars on the theme of “Our Right to Thrive”.
