His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, extended his sincerest congratulations and best wishes to the Mauritanian people and the entire Islamic world on the occasion of the new Hijri year 1448 AH.
In a post published on his page on the X platform, His Excellency wrote:
“On the occasion of the new Hijri year 1448 AH, I extend my sincerest congratulations and best wishes to our dear citizens and to the entire Islamic nation.
This timeless commemoration of the Hijrah of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, with all that it symbolizes in terms of faith and sacrifice, calls upon us to draw inspiration from the values of solidarity, justice, and brotherhood, which strengthen the cohesion of our societies and solidify the foundations of coexistence.
We ask Allah, the Almighty, to make this new year one of security and prosperity for our homeland, to inspire us all to greater dedication and generosity in serving the common good, and to preserve for us the blessings of stability, unity, and brotherhood.
