Prison Netball Club edged NIC Netball Club to clinch the East Africa Netball Club Championship title in Nairobi, Kenya.
In the strongly contested affair, NIC opened up a-goal lead (13-12) at the end of the opening frame.
NIC held onto the slim 22-21 slim lead going into the half time break.
After the long break, Prisons returned a better side handling the ball better as they opened a three-goal (34-31) lead at the end of the third quarter.
Joan Reykoboth and Nashim Khadala controlled the midfield as the Uganda Prision sailed to a close victory.
Hassan Kato Nouredine’s charges showed character and grit as Prisions were crowned to become the new regional champion.
