By Aaron Humes: Police report two classrooms at St John Vianney Roman Catholic Primary School were burglarized at the end of last week.
According to a report from the school’s vice-principal, the burglary likely took place between 6 p.m. on Friday, May 8 and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, in a Standard One and Standard Two classroom, respectively.
Stolen from class R20, the Standard Two classroom, were 2 black Lasko fans valued at $160 and a jar containing $20 in coins. Nothing was stolen from class R17, the Standard One classroom; only the door was damaged. Entry was gained into the classrooms by stomping the doors open. The damages for both classrooms amounted to $650.
Investigations continue.
