St. Kitts and Nevis National Flag Raising Marks Double Ceremony on September 18, 2026

CONNECTICUT, U.S.A., September 14, 2026 – It’s a double celebration for the St. Kitts & Nevis Association of Connecticut.

Friday, September 18, 2026, will not only mark the celebration of the Federation’s 43rd Anniversary of Independence, but also the launch of the new Association and the honouring of two nationals.

“This Friday, history, heritage and community come together at the Connecticut State Capitol as the St. Kitts & Nevis Association of Connecticut celebrates the Federation’s 43rd Anniversary of Independence and the launch of our new Association,” the association announced.

The event is on Friday, September 18 and will start at 4:00 PM at the Connecticut State Capitol, 300 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT.

“Come see our beautiful national flag raised, meet fellow nationals and members of the Caribbean diaspora, and celebrate the culture and people of St. Kitts and Nevis. Everyone is welcome—bring your family, bring your flag and wear your national colours,” the group said.

Designer of the National Flag, Mrs Edrice Lewis-Viechweg, and Belinda Jeffers, one of the youngest of the Christina Disaster, will be honoured.
