The popular free Streatham Common Kite Day will be returning to Streatham Common on Sunday, 10th May 2026, transforming the open space into a festival of colour, community, creativity and soaring kites.

You’ll be able to watch world-class kite professionals perform breath-taking displays while you fly your own kite, browse local food stalls, and soak up the buzz of one of South London’s most beloved free events.
Officially opened by the Mayor of Lambeth, the day brings together expert kite flyers, fantastic food, local community groups, kids’ activities and — weather depending — some truly spectacular skies.
Whether you’re a seasoned kite enthusiast or bringing little ones for their very first taste of kite flying, there’s something magical for everyone.
