Turning Up the Heat: Hot Ones Caribbean Edition Returns For New Series

One of YouTube’s most viral interview formats, Hot Ones, returns this week with a new series, Hot Ones: Caribbean, the regional spin-off.

The show grew a huge global audience by feeding celebrity guests with spicy wings while asking probing questions, often with hilarious results.

TEMPO Networks, a pan-Caribbean cultural lifestyle media company founded in 2005 and known for broadcasting music, culture, interviews, and more across the Caribbean diaspora, has partnered with Complex Networks to bring a localised version of the original U.S. cult hit show Hot Ones, which first launched in 2015.

The Caribbean edition mirrors the U.S. format but incorporates locally relevant peppers, foods, and celebrity guests from across the region. Over time, its seasons have migrated through different islands, including; Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, and the U.S. Virgin Islands

For the Season 4 opener, Trinidadian Soca legend Denise “Saucy Wow” Belfon, famous for her infectious hit song Put Yuh Back in It, will be the celebrity guest. Her mission: to answer questions while devouring the spiciest sauces from across the region.

For Seasons 1 through 3, the show has used a rotating roster of hosts (or host teams) across different island editions. But as of Season 4, Haitian-American entrepreneur Marie “Driven” Theodore has been named the official host. Theodore is a PR executive, entrepreneur, and media strategist with deep ties to Caribbean culture and diaspora communities. Her role is meant to be more than just an interviewer, she brings a sense of regional pride and is expected to anchor the show with personality, cultural insight, and a connection to the Caribbean identity.
