UPDF continue their push to fend off the relegation monster and their recent performance has enabled them to move further from the red zone.
The Army side have lost just one of their last five games (1-0 to Express) but defeated BUL 5-2 and Mbarara City 3-1 plus picking draws against Maroons and today against URA.
The side was yet again in action on Friday, facing URA at the Bombo Miltary Ground and the game ended in a barren stalemate.
The valuable point pushed UPDF up to 12th place on 21 points and are now six points above the drop zone withe five games to play.
On the other hand, URA continue to carry the disappointment badge which they have lived with the entire season.
The Tax Collectors are yet to win a game on the road this campaign and today’s result leaves them in 11th place on 24 points.
In today’s game, Emmanuel Ocen got the first opportunity at goal in the fifth minute but he headed direct into the hands of goalkeeper Chrispas Kusiima.
On the other hand, Bruno Bunyaga too got a one on one moment with the UPDF goalkeeper Richard Anyama but he could not put the ball beyond him.
The two teams kept getting chances thereafter but none could find the breakthrough.
