THE BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced on Thursday that a charge of assault has been approved against a Vancouver Police Department officer following an incident that occurred in Vancouver on September 9, 2025.
An Information charging Constable Jason Grewal with one count of assault was sworn on September 3, 2026, under Vancouver Provincial Court file number 278593-1. The first appearance on this matter is scheduled for October 1.
The charges were approved by an experienced Crown Counsel who has no connection with the accused.
