WhatsOnNamibia, a digital entertainment, leisure and events platform has officially launched its app on Google Play and the App Store.
The platform, which usually updates people all over Namibia through platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram and Facebook, will now have a downloadable app of its own.
The platform allows different levels of interaction, depending on whether you are looking for entertainment or hosting an event. Users can also create personalised profiles that, over time, will suggest events based on their interests and what is happening near them.
The platform will act as a centralised hub for leisure and entertainment, offering features designed to eliminate the “there is nothing to do today” dilemma.
A searchable directory lists upcoming live music, festivals, art exhibitions, theatre performances, sport matches, and business expos.
The app offers curated recommendations for local restaurants, bars, nightlife spots, and family-friendly playgrounds.
Regular promotional competitions will be hosted via their social channels and the app, allowing users to win free entry to local events and leisure spots.
Namibians are encouraged to interact with the app as competitions and giveaways will soon be announced in October.
