Wounded Villa seek redemption against BUL

Following their 2-0 defeat away to Kitara, SC Villa return to league action on Friday with a date against BUL at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

The Jogoos, 4th on the log with 51 points, eight behind leaders Vipers who take on URA later on the day under floodlights.

Villa lost the reverse fixture 2-1 at Fufa Technical Centre Njeru in the first round and Zeljko Kovacevic expects a tough outing.

“They beat us in the first round and we expect a tough game against them,” said Kovacevic.

Villa comes off a good result in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, a win over URA in the first leg of the semi-final and will hope to build on that.

The trio of Frank Ssebuufu, Hassan Mubiru and Patrick Kakande will lead the hunt for goals against an always resilient BUL defence.

BUL have had any abysmal season so far with 10 losses in the campaign so far and lie 8th on the log with 34 points.

The two sides have already met twice this season with each winning once; 2-1 in the league and Uganda Cup
