A young man is dead following a shooting in Bois Patat, Castries, on Saturday.
The victim, Nicholas Rogers, was reportedly shot in what is being described as an ambush-style attack. At the time of the incident, Rogers and a young woman were inside a vehicle.
The female occupant also sustained injuries during the attack. Emergency responders said she suffered “multiple penetrating wounds to both lower extremities and to the right side of her waist”. She was transported to hospital for medical treatment.
Police have since launched an investigation into the incident. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the motive behind the attack have not yet been disclosed.
