This Secret Bahamas Resort Has Big Villas, Two Pools, and One of the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches

On this stretch of one of the world’s best beaches, it’s a little bit calmer. The water feels a little bit extra turquoise.

It’s here where the crowds thin out and all you hear is water breaking onto the sand. A few steps back from the beach, behind palms and low-rise villas, is a property many travelers pass on their way to the larger resorts.

That’s part of the reason The Paradise Island Beach Club has stayed under the radar for so long.

On an island best known for its larger resorts, this 44-villa beachfront resort offers a quieter side of Paradise Island.

Just two-bedroom villas, two heated pools, a swim-up bar, and direct access to one of the most famous beaches in The Bahamas.

Travelers looking for a different side of Paradise Island end up here.

We’ve stayed here countless times, and always love its combination of low-key feel, spacious rooms and spectacular stretch of beachfront.

A Different Version Of Paradise Island

Most visitors know Paradise Island for its large resorts, nightlife, casinos, and nonstop activity.

The Paradise Island Beach Club occupies a different corner of the island.

The property is directly on Cabbage Beach, but the atmosphere feels far removed from the larger resort scene nearby. Villas are spread across landscaped grounds instead of hotel towers. Guests spend the day between the beach and the pools. Families cook breakfast in full kitchens before heading out. Couples stay on the beach until sunset and walk back to their villa in minutes.

The location remains one of the property’s biggest advantages.

Restaurants, bars, shopping, excursions, casinos, and marina areas are all nearby. Guests can spend the evening around Paradise Island and return to a much quieter beachfront property afterward.

The Villas Are What Set It Apart

The accommodations are one of the biggest reasons guests return.

Every villa at The Paradise Island Beach Club includes approximately 1,000 square feet of living space with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining space, and separate living areas.

That amount of room changes the experience, particularly for families and longer stays.

Instead of a standard hotel room, guests have enough space to settle in for a week or more. Full kitchens make it easy to prepare meals or keep snacks and drinks ready after the beach. Separate bedrooms give families privacy that’s difficult to find at many beachfront resorts on Paradise Island.

The villas feel closer to beach apartments than traditional hotel accommodations.

For travelers staying more than a few nights, that practicality becomes a major advantage.

Directly On Cabbage Beach

The location on Cabbage Beach defines the experience here.

This stretch of Paradise Island remains one of the most recognizable beaches in The Bahamas, known for wide white sand and bright turquoise water. Early mornings are quiet, while afternoons bring the brighter colors and activity that define the beach during the day.

At this property, the beach is steps from the villas.

Guests walk directly from their rooms onto the sand without shuttle carts, elevators, or long resort corridors in between. Families move between the pools and the ocean throughout the day. Couples spend hours on the beach and return to their villa within minutes.

The beach becomes part of daily routine rather than a scheduled excursion.

A Boutique Resort On An Island Of Mega Resorts

Paradise Island increasingly revolves around large-scale resorts.

The Paradise Island Beach Club remains intentionally smaller.

With only 44 villas, the atmosphere stays personal even during busy travel periods. Pool areas remain manageable. Guests recognize familiar faces after a few days. Staff interactions feel informal and relaxed rather than scripted.

The property is family-run, and that tone carries throughout the resort.

Nothing here feels oversized or heavily programmed. The focus stays on comfort, beach access, and simplicity.

For many travelers, that becomes the appeal.

Walkable To Restaurants, Nightlife, And Attractions

One of the strongest parts of staying here is how much of Paradise Island is within walking distance.

Guests are minutes from restaurants, bars, shopping areas, casinos, water excursions, and nightlife. Travelers can spend the evening around Atlantis or Marina Village and return to a quieter beachfront property afterward.

That flexibility is unusual for Nassau.

Many Caribbean resorts trade convenience for privacy or privacy for location. This property manages both.

The Pools Add To The Atmosphere

The resort includes two heated pools, including a swim-up bar that becomes a gathering point during the afternoon.

Because the property is smaller, the pool areas maintain a quieter atmosphere than many larger resorts nearby. Guests alternate between the beach and the pools throughout the day without the crowds commonly associated with Paradise Island.

Families fit comfortably here, but so do couples looking for a lower-key stay on the island.

That combination broadens the property’s appeal considerably.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

Many Paradise Island resorts compete through size, attractions, and nonstop activity.

The Paradise Island Beach Club offers something different. But it’s still something of a secret.

Guests return for the villas, the location on Cabbage Beach, and the quieter atmosphere that’s increasingly rare on Paradise Island. The experience remains straightforward: spacious accommodations, direct beach access, walkable surroundings, and a calmer environment.

If you have already experienced the larger properties nearby, this resort often becomes the alternative you continue booking afterward.

The Value

This might be my favorite aspect of this resort — the serious value. To the tune of rooms with rates below $300 per night right now, based on what I found on Google Hotels. That’s pretty hard to beat, for the combination of villa comfort and beautiful beach.
