The traditional marriage of the eldest daughter of Professor Imafidon at London’s Hilton, gets global participants as the second leg gets on its way at St Paul’s Cathedral this weekend.

By Milton Tella – The family of Professor Chris Imafidon, Britain brainiest family, starts the traditional first leg of their eldest daughter, Dr Anne-Marie Osawenmwense Imafidon, with the Bini traditional ceremonies at the London’s Hilton Hotel on Saturday, 4th September with adherence to current Covid-19 restrictions.

The next leg of the ceremony will be held this weekend at the prestigious St Paul’s Cathedral, in central London. This will be followed by a thanksgiving service at the Chapel in Windsor and a planned “Tea” at Kensington Palace in west London.

Family and friends as well as well wishers of the royal Imafidon family were at the first leg of the marriage ceremonies of their daughter to the Mann family.

The Hilton hotel in east London was full with dignitaries from UK, Africa, USA and other parts of the world witness the rich cultural festivities of the ancient Bini Kingdom, (Edo) tradition of giving out their daughter in marriage. The families trooped into London last week dressed in traditional costumes, and colourful hats and headgears.

The Imafidon traditional marriage ceremonies attracted a worldwide audience thanks to technology.

The joy felt by the guests in the Hilton Hotel banquet hall was infectious to family members who followed via Zoom, Instagram, Facebook, Clubhouse and Teams.

The ceremony was beamed via technology to the ancient cities of Benin City; with live relay of events to Ibadan in Nigeria and other platforms across the world.
