Bangladesh secured a 34-run victory over Zimbabwe in the latest T20 international at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, producing a disciplined all-round performance to level the contest.
After being put to bat, Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 186 runs, in a process they lost 5 wickets in 20 overs
The Tigers opening batsmen Saif Hassan and Tanzid Hasan did not disappoint, as they posted 55 runs and 58 runs, respectively.
With a target of 185, Zimbabwe was poor with the bat in the second innings, as none of the top order batsmen managed 15 runs, the highest being Brian Bennet’s 11 runs.
Middle order batsmen Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl tried to pull the team back into the game as they posted 28 and 29 runs respectively, but still it was not enough to push the team, which was bowled out in 19.4 overs with 152 runs.
Friday’s result saw Bangladesh leveling the series 1-1, making Sunday’s final match a real block buster.
Zimbabwe will be hoping to outshine the visitors in all formats, after beating them in Test and ODI format in previous weeks.
