ESCWA and Morocco Sign Regional Partnership to Advance Digital Governance

United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) , Rania Al-Mashat, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Moroccan Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni. The signing took place during official bilateral meetings in Rabat, Morocco.

The agreement establishes a framework for strengthened regional cooperation aimed at modernizing public administration and advancing digital governance reform across the Arab region. By leveraging emerging technologies and innovative institutional strategies, the initiative seeks to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and quality of public service delivery.

Through this partnership, ESCWA and the Kingdom of Morocco will collaborate on sharing best practices, driving administrative innovation, and accelerating sustainable development through digital transformation across ESCWA member states.
