Belizean students get behind-the-scenes look at Cruise industry through BTB-Carnival partnership

By Zoila Palma: On July 15, 2026, the Belize Tourism Board, in partnership with Carnival Corporation and Carnival Cruise Line, welcomed approximately 40 students from Anglican Cathedral College, Edward P. Yorke High School, Nazarene High School, Muffles College, and the Hope Resource Center aboard the Carnival Liberty for an educational tour.

The vessel arrived in Belize with 3,681 passengers.

Students explored cruise ship operations, connected with experienced crew members, and learned about the many career opportunities available in hospitality, tourism, engineering, culinary arts, maritime services, and more.

The BTB and Carnival Cruise Line continue to inspire the next generation of Belizeans to explore careers in the tourism and cruise industries.
