After a star turn in Croatian volleyball, Tevin St Jean from Saint Lucia is moving again, joining his 11th club in 10 years. This is the first time the 30-year-old from Soufrière will play in the competitive French League B with Volley Ball Club Chalon-sur-Saône (VBCC).

St Jean is the fourth new player for VBCC in the 2026-2027 season. He recently played in Croatia with MOK Marsonia (Muški Odbojkaški Klub Marsonia), where he was named the league’s best middle blocker.
The two-metre-tall middle hitter will leverage experience from stints in Greece, Romania, and Portugal. He also competed at the Caribbean Games, where he was named Best Middle Blocker.
VBCC will be leaning heavily on him as they prepare for their second year in the second tier of French volleyball, after finishing 11th last season. “Explosive, powerful in the attack and very effective on the block, he will be a strong plus value in our team to achieve our goals next season,” said the club via its social media platforms.
St Jean is one of just three professional volleyball players from Saint Lucia. The first was Julian Bissette, who is now in his 13th year as a pro and has played for 12 teams in four countries.
