The Media Network for Christ’s Channel 7 is mourning the death of its volunteer and community member, Anneri Burger, who died in a car accident last Tuesday.
The radio station’s executive head, Neal van den Berg, on social media says Burger was a precious friend, faithful supporter and a beloved member of the Channel 7 community.
“I was shocked when I received the message from Hannes du Plessis. Her death leaves a huge void, not only in her family, but in the hearts of all who knew her,” he says on Facebook.
According to him, Burger was committed to the radio, and volunteered her time with compassion, especially during the radio’s radiothon, a live broadcast to raise money for charity.
“Her engagement, kindness and willingness to always help made a deep impression. She truly made a difference in spreading the gospel through her servitude,” Van den Berg says.
He adds that her presence has created a lasting impact, especially her role in serving others and contributing to the station’s work in spreading its message.
The station extended its condolences to her family, offering prayers for comfort and strength during the difficult time.
