Comment on Happy Fringing: How to Navigate Festival Season as a disabled person by Together 2012
I spent three weeks at the Fringe in 2009 with my Abnormal exhibition but haven't been in a position to return. I'm pleased to hear that the awareness of and provision for Disabled people within the Fringe Society has improved so much, although I'm sure there is still a lot to do. I was able to make a few public art interventions around access linked to my exhibition (http://www.ju90.co.uk/nimr/tour.htm#edinburgh) and I hope that other Disabled artists are continuing to challenge and highlight access and inclusion issues through their work.
