Delta Air Lines is scheduled to operate an additional flight into Saint Lucia on January 5 as airlines work to accommodate passengers affected by weekend travel disruptions linked to heightened regional airspace concerns.
According to a travel advisory issued by the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), Delta Flight DL9899 will operate from Atlanta to Hewanorra International Airport, with an estimated arrival time of 12:52 p.m. local time.
SLASPA said the extra sector is intended for Delta customers impacted by the January 3 flight cancellations and has advised affected passengers to confirm their booking information or contact Delta Air Lines reservations as soon as possible.
The advisory comes as airport officials indicate that flight operations have otherwise returned to normal following the brief period of disruption over the weekend.
