*BET took a risk naming a 31-year-old internet comedian as its youngest host ever. Then Druski dropped his promo video. Now everybody gets it.
The man born Drew Desbordes isn’t just hosting the 2026 BET Awards on June 28 at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater. He is personally inviting the celebrities — and roasting them in the process. The promo, released around May 13 (2026), has already gone massively viral. Because nothing says “award show elegance” like Druski showing up at Cardi B’s door with a full mariachi band.
Druski’s Door-to-Door Chaos
The premise is simple and insane. Druski personally delivers BET Awards invitations to A-listers. The execution is pure comedy.
He visits Cardi B’s house with a mariachi band in full swing. Her response? “I thought you were — I’m Dominican!” She promises to bring her crew anyway. Druski moves on.
Next stop: John Legend’s home. The man is in a robe, presumably enjoying a peaceful morning. Druski rolls up with a full gospel choir singing outside his door. Legend looks confused, exhausted, and ready to go back to bed. Druski just grins: “C’mon now, John!”
He also hits up Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence with his signature over-the-top antics. The whole thing is chaotic, irreverent, and exactly what you would expect from a guy who built his career on viral skits where nothing goes right.

House Rules: No Ski Masks, No Bodysuits, and Other Savage Demands
Druski is not just hosting. He is legislating. The promo includes his official “house rules” for the 2026 BET Awards:
-
Sexyy Red: No leggings, rompers, or bodysuits.
-
No ski masks on the red carpet.
-
Additional restrictions on wrestlers, mega-pastors, and other chaos agents.
Fans are eating it up. Ski masks at an award show? Druski said no. Bodysuits for Sexyy Red? Banned. The rules are equal parts absurd and necessary.
Youngest Host Ever (Sorry, Kevin Hart)
BET announced Druski as host on April 30, 2026. At 31 years old, he officially became the youngest host in the BET Awards’ 25-plus year history. That means he beat Kevin Hart’s record. Kevin Hart hosted in 2011. He was 32 at the time. Druski wins by one year.
You know Kevin Hart is somewhere side eyeing this whole thing. Especially given the week he is having with the George Floyd joke backlash. Timing is everything.
Fans Are Hyped. The Internet Is Ready.
Fans are calling the promo one of the most entertaining in recent BET Awards history. Druski’s internet comedy background — those “Could’ve Been” sketches, the fake record label antics — translates perfectly to live television chaos. He knows how to engage younger audiences because he is one of them.
The show airs live June 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET and Paramount+. Expect big performances, actual awards, and at least three moments where Druski does something that makes producers regret hiring him. That is not a complaint. That is the point.
BET took a risk. Druski is already making it look like a masterstroke.
