So this is my first contrapuntal poem, two poems working with each other to make a third. Playtime was fun. So good to dispose of the clogyrnach which I really struggled with. Contrapuntals deserve more thought and I will look at two ideas meeting together in the coming months. The poetry forms followed now include ... The poetry forms followed now include chanso, cinquain, contrapuntal and as demonstrated in my last poem; the cascade is back as an option to all others/
Endings Starting Now
Celebrate
………………………the ending of the day
………………………that started way back then
the ending
………………………before morning was born
………………………a period of night
of something
………………………celestial and bright
………………………a glimmering shadow
we began
………………………hovering overhead
…………………… a lone ghost with no home
with free choice
………………………enraptured by love life
………………………like a moth to a flame
because we
………………………with filigree wings fly
………………………to a place of safety
wanted to
………………………to turn out electric lights
………………………to sleep tight forever

Notes from my personal blog find me sitting in a hospital writing notes on tissue paper. I had an Arts Idea called ‘This is a Ditch’ which was to be written on paper, stuck to a placard and photographed by ditches. Poems like this would support the photos…… and it would all honour Boris Johnson’s preference to be dead in a ditch rather than extend the deadline for Brexit.
