Four suspects arrested for killing the Chinese Factory owner in Dar-es-salaam
Police reveal that two of the suspects were arrested at the border town of Namanga, in Longido District of Arusha, possibly attempting to cross into Kenya

The Police in Tanzania have arrested four people who are being suspected to have recently attacked and killed a Chinese Factory owner in Dar-es-salaam.
Early reports revealed that the 50-year-old Bhaozang Ge, was slashed on the head by some unknown people suspected to have been his own members of staff at his plastic bottles’ recycling plant known as Xil Li, which is located at Mabibo ward of Dar-es-salaam.
The alleged killers managed to also grab a bag containing a sum of money valued at 9 million/- in local currency, which is close to USD 3500, before escaping into oblivion on the night of May 17, 2026.
But the latest statement from the Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) Jumanne Muliro who oversees the Dar-es-salaam Zone, reveals that two of the suspects were arrested at the border town of Namanga, in Longido District of Arusha, possibly attempting to cross into Kenya.
The other two, according to the Police Commissioner, were nabbed in the Mabibo area of Dar-es-salaam. The arrests, however, took place at different times.
SACP Jumanne Muliro named the arrested suspects as Godson Simon Laizer, aged 25, who originally hails from Okolili in Siha district of Kilimanjaro Region, Elisha Saitoti Lukumay (24) from Mkonde Ward of Handeni District in Tanga, Godfrey Laban Mollel (30) of Magongo area in Kinondoni and Godson Piniel, a resident of Kigamboni both in Dar-es-salaam.
Police reports claim that the suspects have so far admitted to have committed the crimes, including killing the Chinese investor and stealing the bag of money which was kept at his factory, where the four reportedly used to work as night guards.
The police claim that the four suspects said they divided the loot between them and some went out to buy a number of cattle, ready to start new lives as livestock keepers.
Still, more investigations regarding the case are going on to fill in more details before the four suspects could be arraigned in court.
The late Bhaozang Ge’s body was cremated and ashes sent back to China, his country of origin.
