The meeting brought together representatives of the Belize Livestock Producers’ Association (BLPA), Sugar Industry Research and Development Institute (SIRDI) and Belize Citrus Growers Association (CGA).

Martinez was joined by Chief Executive Officers Carlos Pol of the Ministry of Economic Transformation and Servulo Baeza of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries, as well as Carlos Tun of the Belize Social Investment Fund and their respective technical teams.

Representing the productive sector were BLPA Chairman Arden Edwards and CEO William Usher, SIRDI’s Leticia Westby, and CGA Chairman Eccleston Irving and Thomas Tate. Stakeholders received updates on CRESAP’s timeline, progress to date, planned activities and the proposed way forward toward completion.

The discussions highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between the Government and Belize’s productive sectors as stakeholders work to address challenges and advance ongoing initiatives.
