GTT Unveils 2026 Strategy Focused on AI-Driven Networking and Cybersecurity Expansion

GTT Communications Inc.,  a global provider of networking and security-as-a-service solutions for multinational enterprises, has unveiled its strategic priorities for 2026, building on significant platform expansion, artificial intelligence investments, and services growth recorded in 2025.

The company said its 2026 roadmap will focus on strengthening its GTT Envision platform, which delivers AI-enabled global networking across GTT and third-party cloud environments from edge to core. Leveraging its AI factory, GTT plans to introduce a new cybersecurity protection framework designed to enable real-time threat detection, proactive risk assessment, and faster incident response across enterprise networks.

According to GTT Chief Executive Officer Ed Morche, the company is positioning itself as a single, unified partner for enterprise connectivity and security. He noted that GTT’s vision is to deliver “one AI-powered platform and one networking experience” to support businesses operating in an increasingly AI-driven digital economy.

A major part of the 2026 strategy is the expansion of GTT’s services portfolio, including Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Managed SD-WAN, internet, voice, and hybrid cloud services. The company plans to introduce enhanced AI-driven security capabilities, including anomaly detection tools that provide real-time oversight and faster containment of network incidents.

GTT will also expand its hybrid cloud infrastructure by scaling edge and core computing capabilities through its EnvisionEDGE devices and EnvisionCORE nodes. This will support unified hybrid environments that integrate edge, private, and public cloud systems under a single managed platform.

In addition, the company plans to strengthen its secure networking offerings by expanding vendor options within its SASE portfolio and increasing support for 5G fixed wireless access and low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity. These upgrades are aimed at providing enterprises with more resilient primary and backup connectivity options.

GTT also outlined planned enhancements to its platform ecosystem, including deeper investments in its global Tier 1 backbone, expanded cloud partnerships, and improved distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation capabilities. Its EnvisionEDGE expansion will bring compute and security functions closer to data sources to support AI workloads and edge intelligence.

The company further disclosed upcoming upgrades to its EnvisionDX platform, including agentic AI-driven user experiences, contextual interaction capabilities, and zero-touch self-service provisioning designed to simplify enterprise network management.

Looking ahead, GTT said it will increasingly leverage its AI factory to transform internal operations, improve predictive network performance, and scale automation across its ecosystem through expanded API integrations and agentic workflows.

The announcement follows a year of strong performance in 2025, during which GTT expanded its global network capacity to over 700 terabits, grew its presence across more than 140,000 locations in over 170 countries, and strengthened its services portfolio, including SD-WAN, SIP trunking, and professional services.

The company also advanced its AI infrastructure through partnerships with major technology firms, expanded its global points of presence across multiple countries, and increased its DDoS protection capacity. GTT additionally received multiple industry recognitions for leadership in SD-WAN and SASE services across key markets.
