Hattiloo Theatre, the first and only Black repertory company in Memphis and the Mid-South, turns 20 on Sept. 22. The cultural and creative hub will celebrate the milestone with the launch of its newest performance space, Culture Box, replacing the former Black Box, where smaller stage productions were mounted at the theater’s 37 Cooper St. location in Midtown. With a capacity of 40, audiences can experience games, competitions and live performances in the renovated venue.
