In the clip, the rapper delivered an honest and energetic message after Stogie T won the award for his song “Four Horsemen” featuring Nasty C, A-Reece and Maggz.

“Everybody wanted to know what he was gonna do if he didn’t win. You’re gonna play golf,” Yanga Chief said with a laugh. “Shout out to Stogie, though. That’s my big homie. That win was deep for the game. I think hip hop needs that.”

Yanga Chief did not hold back when reflecting on the years Stogie T had gone without such recognition for his rapping skills. “I can’t believe y’all never gave Stogie an award for rapping, guys. What the hell are we doing?” he asked pointedly. “Hip hop, you gotta do better.”

His remarks carried both appreciation for the win and a clear call for the South African hip hop community to value its pioneers more consistently.

Shifting focus to his personal grind, Yanga Chief made it evident that the night’s energy would only fuel his momentum. “But from my side, it’s just gonna be more music. Foot on neck, that’s it for the rest of the year, it’s foot on neck. We’re not giving anybody a chance. We’re not gonna make it 50/50 no more,” he stated firmly.
