Jasmine Crockett Gives Chris Brown Congressional Honor, Social Media Protests
The Texas congresswoman took a break from the chaos in Washington to give the R&B stars some flowers—and fans had questions.

While the world is burning and the corruption machine continues churning along, Rep. Jasmine Crockett thought now would be the best time to spend her final months in office giving Chris Brown and Usher congressional recognition.
The Texas congresswoman took to the stage Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington during Chris and Usher’s “R&B Tour” alongside Rep. Venton Jones and producer Roccstar for the surprise honor, TMZ reports.
“Crockett told the crowd she ‘couldn’t miss this night’ before recognizing Breezy—and Usher—for their decades in music and entertainment, saying she wanted their impact officially documented in the Congressional Record,” TMZ reports.
Crockett also took shots at Congress, noting that there were “a few scammers up in D.C.” before telling the hometown crowd they had a “real one” standing right there in Dallas.
The controversial Brown, who has somehow been absolved for his violent and controversial behavior in relationships, was thankful for the love and even hugged Crockett.
Not everyone was happy with the congresswoman for her performative act.
